My dearest Reachel over at Cardigan Empire is talking about baby fashion--and of course cloth diapers are the center of that discussion. (You really should drop by the Empire sometime. It's delightful).
Ladies, by now you all know how I feel about cloth diapers.
The only laundry I enjoyed doing is, (and I really do mean this), diapers. There is nothing so perfect as cloth diapers on the clothes line, or fresh out of the dryer. I loved folding them with care to put in drawers, knowing soft cloth--not itchy paper--would adorn my little man's bum.
Perfection, those cloth diapers. Perfection.
Alas, Mo is now in undies so I must refrain from buying. Heavens, this is difficult. But by golly, no one can stop me from looking! And one of my favorite stores to look (wink, wink) is Babies in Bloom. And lucky for everyone who lives outside of San Diego, BIB has an online boutique. Babies in Bloom carries everything from diapers and organic layette, to nursing supplies, natural toys, books and highchair accessories. Basically, if you need it for your baby, they carry it.
Rochelle, Babies in Bloom owner, a real force and supporter of natural parenting choices has graciously offered to sponsor this Giveaway to one lucky reader.
Comment on this post before Friday Sept.4th at noon, and you have the chance to win your choice of either a Bum Genius One Size Pocket Diaper or a Bummis cover (Super Whisper wrap /Super Brite) with 3 prefold diapers. Post about this giveaway on your own blog and come back for a second entry: )
Random.org will pick our winner and announce the lucky bum after noon on Friday.

Good Luck, Mamas!
Our family loves cloth diapers! Laundry isn't bad at all. We EC, so mostly just wet diapers, Fletch, my son, seems to prefer going #2 in the potty, or sink. I am looking forward to when he can sit up on his own. As for diapers, we use pre-folds, and Fuzzy-Buns, currently. We use Charlies Soap to wash diapers, and all of our clothes, for that matter. I like it because it is about as natural as you can get, and gets the job done. Never had a diaper rash. I think cloth diapers look so cute on a babe. I would imagine they are more comfortable. I have experienced both disposable and cloth reusable feminine napkins, and the cloth win by a long shot. So, I would guess the same applies to diapers. Anyways, love the blog, and thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, and, we go to San Diego like 3 times a year, maybe one trip I can make it into the store!
Oh! This is just what I have been looking for! I really want to try cloth diapers but don't quite know if it will fit our lifestyle or how to start.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this giveaway! =)
who knew diapers could be so adorable?

Cloth is the best! I'd love to try other brands!! Amanda at amandarae@huskers.unl.edu. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love cloth diapers! We've been using them for about 3 years or so. I've used all kinds but at the moment I'm using Happy Heiny's on my almost 1 and 2 year olds. I would love to try one of the Bum Genius or Bummis cover, though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOoh please?! I was directed here from Ms. Bagley's site as a matter of fact!
ReplyDeleteMy LO is due in 5 weeks, and I really want to try cloth diapers, but I'm not sure where to start. The Bum Genius one-size diaper looks SO easy to use!
ReplyDeleteI fully intend to cloth diaper when baby comes. I haven't decided on what type; I'm currently thinking one-size AIO's but am definitely open to giving prefolds a try. My hairstylist is out on maternity and planned to use prefolds...I can't wait to hear how it's going for her.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!
Never tried them...but I would. I've always wondered.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love getting the CD word out. So cute, so efficient, and so all around wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy baby girl is due in November. And while she is my 4th baby, she'll be the first to use cloth diapers. I'd love for her to set the trend in style!
ReplyDeleteGot my CD start from you. Thanks for all your knowledge you share here, it is so inspiring, obviously.
ReplyDeleteWe are currently TTC #2 and I know without a doubt I will be using cloth diapers.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE a free sample to get started!
And I would love LOVE to put this on my blog, but I'm afraid I don't want my family to start bugging me quite yet...know what I mean?
We use cloth and love it. It feels like such a drag having to buy diapers when we travel. I would love to try something new!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily! We're really getting into the cloth diapering... we have a few of the gDiapers (with cloth inserts)... but will need more soon, as I am trying to accumulate the diapers to make the up-front cost a little more manageable. I agree though, laundering cloth diapers really is enjoyable:)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love my bumGenius dipes. I use Charlie's Soap and my boys almost never have rashes.
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting our first child and I'm very interested in cloth diapering. I would love to be entered in the contest.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
I have always wanted to take the plunge into cloth diapering!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try cloth diapers but don't quite know how to start either.
ReplyDeleteThanks Babies in Bloom!
What a find, happening across your blog. I'm eager to read, read, read as my husband and I are officially going to start trying for our first in one short month, and natural parenting is what we're excited about. Thanks for your resource!
ReplyDeleteYay for cloth diapers! And hurray for whoever wins this giveaway (and for Babies in Bloom, of course, for sponsoring it). Cloth diapers are wonderful, provided you have quality ones, which these are. Thanks Emily!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been researching cloth diapering and I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Thanks for all the info!
ReplyDeleteWe love BIB and we love our cloth too! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm cloth diapering my next baby, due in Jan, and haven't gotten a thing yet. This would be a great start!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute- my little guy got a rash this week and I was wishing I had some cloth diapers to put on him till he got better!
ReplyDeleteOooo. awesome! I've always wanted to try cloth diapers... they seems so nice, but messy! Glad to know you really enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
yes, cloth diapers have been a secret addiction of mine since we experimented with my son a couple years ago. I was super sad to pack them away when he was 20 months but since we EC'd, they were no longer needed. We use a combination of Gdiapers and a variety of cloth on my DD. They are so darn cute, I don't mind washing one bit!
ReplyDeleteI am just getting in to cloth diapering and would love to try these out!
ReplyDeleteJonah and I just started cloth diapers. At home we're diaper free. I have hardwood floors thoughtout the house so its very easy to clean us little messes. The diapers I use are bumpkins. The prints are cute and they seem to hold very well. The only think I noticed that was a little dissapointing is they take forever to dry in the dryer. Believe me we're taking full advantage of the heatwave and drying them outside now.
ReplyDeleteI love cloth diapering with my son! I thought I would prefer AIOs but really like prefolds much better. It's so satisfying to change him. I love knowing it's natural and isn't being absorbed by yucky chemicals. I can't wait until he grows into the next size and I can shop again for covers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! We have been using prefolds, but I am really interested in trying out the Bumgenius. We use the Super whisper wraps already and love them! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOkie dokie
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI just became a Mom on Tuesday, the 1st! My little man entered the world after 25 hours and weights 8 lbs. 1 ounce. He is a dream! I never thought I could fall in love so fast!
We are jumping head first into cloth diapering and I'm SO excited about it!! I look forward to everything about motherhood, but cloth diapers are definitely my "thing" that I want to conquer and help other mothers learn how to do.
I would love a chance to win this contest ...thank you so much!!
Marcie Muensterman
What a great idea! I am a first time expecting mom and am trying to slowly buy some BumGenius so I have some when the little guy arrives. I would love to have some extra bum covers for him! Thanks so much for your post!
ReplyDeleteI currently have my 33 month old son in cloth. We use the Bum Genius 3.0 One Size. I LOVE them!! I have been using them since he was 13 months old & he loves wearing them. When he spends the weekend at my mom's house, he was in disposables & kept complaining that his butt was itchy. He gets upset about it. I wish I had started doing cloth when he was born but now I know better with the next baby. My husband loves how easy the diapers are to put on & take off!
ReplyDeleteWe've been using Bummis with our 11mo old and love them. Almost ready to upgrade to the next size!
ReplyDeleteWe love our cloth diapers and Babies in Bloom too. I think I could go broke in there if I let myself! :)
ReplyDeleteDang I think I'm too late! Oh well, I will say that you totally helped inspire me to use CD's- I wanted to forever but was content with my Seventh Generation brand. Thanks for giving me the motivation!
